Students in India is unable to learn English naturally as they do so in learning their mother language. What may be the reason? - I wonder . Even very insignificantly literated people can speak very fluently and express their thoughts in their mother language. But in English their lies the matter of struggle , hesitation or no vision or interest. Basically we must think of the utility of any language , the purpose to learn it. People find it convenient to use mother language rather than English to express their views or to unvail their mind. The reason I find is that we make learning English complicated , rather than been natural . We sometimes give too much of importance to rules printed in grammar books. We try to memorise it. And we find ourselves to forget the rules successfully.Just think about new born baby. He uses the sensory organs to learn new languages . He uses ear to listen sounds of language speaker. Gradually the child understands the uses and meanings of languages. So my suggestion is that to teach English naturally . Use audio- visual aids like TV. Complicated grammar rules will lead to vain - intellectuality rather than usefull natural knowledge of usage of English.

My Role as Teacher
Teacher is the friend, philosopher, and guide to any
student. Students are the budding flowers in our society. They need proper care
to bloom. A teacher has to play the role of friend, philosopher and guide to
students. A teacher can solve the problems of the students acting as a friend.
Students are to pass the adolescent stage during school life. Here students
need support from teachers. Teachers can support students them mentally only if
they become friends to students.
It needs to be an ideal teacher who can support students in
every aspect of life. I will show them the ways to prosper in life. The
potential of life has to be gained by the students. I will show them the right
way. I am going to teach English in school. English is one of the most
important subject/ language. It is the language which opens the vista of
success for students. Internationally it is needed to know English to do job
abroad and also to get foreign education. I will make my students able to find
the ways to have adequate knowledge in English. It is also important for a
student to love the language of English. I will make it sure the students love
English as they learn it.
There are two aspects of English. First is language grammar
and the second is literature. It is important to know the rules of grammar.
Technical understanding of the language is done only by grammar. The correct
message needed to be conveyed can be made by the usage of grammar. Literature
is also important. It gives the student the beautiful fragrance thoughts of
eminent writers like as T. S. Eliot. I will teach my students both the aspects
of English.
